A good way to make money from giveaways is to join as a free member and download all the free gifts. Just one giveaway will usually hand you almost all that you need to start making money on the internet. You will probably be able to download ebooks and software with resell rights, plus the website template to sell them from, and lots of tips on driving visitors to your sales page.

However, there are better ways of making money from giveaways. You will profit even better if you have something to give away yourself, and build yourself a list of internet marketers who will buy from you.

1. Offer a good gift – something that people will really be glad they downloaded.

2. Upload your gift and test your own signup process before the doors open. Most people will join in the first few hours.

3. Have a paid product that people will see immediately when they sign up for your gift. For example you could show the upsell on the same page as the download link for your free gift. I find that a low priced offer is most effective ($5 to $15).

4. Send your subscribers the download page link in an email from your autoresponder, even if your autoresponder already sent them there. Then they have another opportunity to buy your paid product.

5. Continue sending more emails through your autoresponder, giving them either extra information or free bonus gifts.

6. After that, you can begin to promote your main products (or affiliate products). Remember that you want the free gift to attract subscribers who will buy your later promotions, so choose your free gift carefully.

7. Keep promoting the giveaway. If you do not have a list, there are many free methods e.g. safelists. Do something every day. This will increase your contributor points so your gift is shown higher on the list where more people will see it.

8. If you are offered an upgrade for contributors where you have the chance to get your gift a higher place, I recommend you take it. It pays.

Finally, keep watching what is happening. Is your gift attracting as many subscribers as others on the same page? How is your upsell converting? Are your subscribers unsubscribing right away, and if so, why? There are a lot of things that you can work on to improve your sales.
