Book Author Publishes Early Diabetes Risk Recognition and Avoidance

by Assistant on April 18, 2009

Diabetes is one of America’s top 10 leading causes of death and one in two people worldwide is at risk of developing this disease in a lifetime.

Driven by a passionate campaign for early diabetes risk recognition and avoidance, Dr. Rivkah Roth published ‘At Risk? Avoid Diabetes by Recognizing Early Risk: A Natural Medicine View’.

Her published book highlights the importance of proper food intake in avoiding diabetes and presents the results of her years of studying biochemical and physiological processes leading from food to health and from food to disease.

“Diabetes, along with other gastrointestinal conditions (such as irritable bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, celiac disease) and many painful conditions (among them fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, or chronic fatigue) all show a link to our food intake…’At Risk?’ helps you understand the impact of your lifestyle and food choices,” explained Dr. Roth.

“What sets ‘At Risk?’ apart from many of the other books about diabetes prevention is its focus on very early risk recognition and its inclusion of many proven but often neglected underlying conditions and connections.”

The author has a degree in natural medicine and doctorate degrees in osteopathy, natural medicine, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.  She taught and practiced natural medicine in Canada, Europe and the Middle East and has received several awards for her dedication and contribution to the field of natural medicine including the ‘Doctor of the Year’ award given in 2005 by a professional association.

Dr. Rivkah Roth practices what she calls trans-disciplinary medicine. This approach offers a highly viable and promising route towards stemming the epidemics of chronic and metabolic diseases.

She continues her campaign for public awareness of how to avoid diabetes and many of its complications by giving talks and lectures about the subject.

Dr. Roth’s lectures include web-based education and support programs for the general public and professional training programs for Early Diabetes Risk Recognition Counselors, Natural Diabetes Avoidance Coaches, and Natural Medicine Diabetes Avoidance and Reversal Counselors for licensed and accredited health professionals.

‘At Risk? Avoid DIABETES by Recognizing Early Risk: A Natural Medicine View’ is published by Xlibris.
