Let’s start with a fact that PPC marketing is one of the methods that can seriously help in getting targeted traffic and generating more sales from your online business. If you want to squeeze the maximum from PPC marketing, then you need the knowledge about how to optimize your PPC campaign.

The factor which is almost instantly showing the effect from your PPC ads is the CTR or click through rate. Basically it shows how attractive your ads are to the surfers in Google or any other search engine that is offering its own PPC service to the people.

Your goal is to fight for getting the highest click through rate possible. Because then it means that almost every cent you pay is bringing you nice money, sales, sign ups, leads – whatever you are gathering from that sort of traffic. And that is why click through rate goes hand in hand with the split testing (when you test ad A against ad B and choose the best). By resorting to slight changes in the text of the ads A and B, you will see what words are attracting the attention better and what words are cutting the traffic from your ads (and, hence, from your sites or web pages).
