It is important therefore , for you to compile a good list of consumers and business contacts, for your direct mail marketing to be successful. You need to target a specific group of people who are most likely to purchase your products , instead of just sending the promotional material to the entire country . You do not want to spend too much money sending these promotional material to people who would just throw it away without reading it. There are many ways of getting your consumers to open by adding some personal touch to the material you send such as using your own handwriting and printing the business logo on the envelope you use.

Methods such as email direct marketing is highly preffered nowadays as it reduced the total cost of the marketing campaign. Not only is it cost-effective but it could be done within minutes provided you have a good list of prospective consumers!
